Keep the carcasses — new doors, worktops, sinks and taps
If the boxes behind your cupboard doors are solid, they are doing their job. Ripping them out to buy new boxes of the same size is where a full kitchen wastes time and money. Our FAQs are clear: age does not matter, provided the carcasses are sound, whether they are imperial or metric. Everything we supply is made to measure, including odd and non-standard sizes.
What we replace is the part that dates a room:
- Kitchen doors and drawer fronts — shaker, high gloss, wood grain, handleless and plenty more. Samples can come to your home, or you can see a far wider range in the Bolton showroom.
- Worktops — from practical laminates to quartz and stone-look finishes. A new worktop changes how the whole room feels under your hands.
- Sinks, taps and accessories — stainless steel, ceramic and composite sinks, plus handles, cornices, pelmets and plinths to finish the job.
You can do as little or as much as you want: doors only, or a full makeover of worktops, trims, sink, taps and appliances. That is the difference between a makeover and ripping the room back to the plaster.

On the about us page we say the same thing another way — for approximately half the price of what it would cost to fully fit, we refurbish by providing new doors, worktops, drawers, cornices, pelmets, plinths, sinks, taps and so on.
Why is it cheaper? Because you are not paying to throw away perfectly good carcasses, redo the plumbing runs, or live with a building site for weeks. You are paying for the visible, useful parts: new doors that fit, a worktop you can work on, a sink and tap that do not leak or look dated.
We cannot quote accurately over the phone. Kitchens differ. The honest way is a free, no-obligation home visit so we can measure up and give you a figure there and then. Typically it comes in at around half the price of a fully fitted kitchen.
1 to 2 days. No mess, no fuss, no hassle
A full rip-out can take the kitchen out of action for weeks. Our fitting typically takes 1 to 2 days. We also remove the waste at the end of the job. Customers notice that as much as the new look: Tony and Jean Jones said the dates given for delivery, fitting and removal of the old doors all ran like clockwork. Mr and Mrs Birchenough’s fitters cleaned up everywhere and disposed of all the doors and rubbish.
From order, materials are made to measure. Delivery is usually arranged, then fitting follows. We try to leave the kitchen operational at the end of each working day, and all mess is cleared.
