My name is Tony Gordon and I started in the refurbishment business with my Father Brian back in 1994. We opened our first Showroom in Stretford, Manchester, beginning as franchisees to a then well-known refurbishing company. From the outset the business was a success, so much so that I decided to buy a franchise in the Westhoughton area of Bolton twelve months later, and both Showrooms have served the North West ever since. In 1999 my wife Wanda became part of the family team and we soon became well known for being a friendly family run business with a personal touch. No, Gordon’s Makeovers will only ask you for 30% deposit up front and will only take the final 70% upon delivery of your products. The fitting fee is payable once our fitters have completed the work and is payable separately to the fitter’s directly.
Feel free to get in touch with us, as we may be able to supply you with just one door, however, in our experience, unless we have supplied your original kitchen/kitchen doors then an exact matchup is unlikely. We are not an ecommerce online shop, where you can just buy a door “off-the-shelf” as all our doors are made-to-measure.

Gordon’s Makeovers will do as little or as much as you want, in respect of a refurbishment from doors, through to a full makeover, worktops, trims, sink, taps, appliances, etc. We can also manage other aspects such as plumbing, tiling, electrical work and decorating so we are the one-stop-shop for all your kitchen needs!
It is very difficult for us to give you an exact quote over the phone, as it all depends on the current state of your kitchen, the amount of doors, if you require anything else etc. The best way is to allow us to come into your home with our Free No Obligation Quotation appointment, as then we can measure up and give you an accurate quote there and then.
Normally the changing of doors and drawer fronts for a makeover is completed in just one day. If worktops, sinks and appliances are also to be installed then this will probably be completed in two to three days. There is no need to be waiting weeks for your kitchen to be completed. Obviously if you are having a large/full kitchen makeover then this will take longer, as usually plastering is involved, so has to dry (along with other work).
No. Gordon’s Makeovers provides a made-to-measure kitchen door service so age is of no importance providing the kitchen carcasses are sound, regardless of whether they are imperial or metric.
Yes! We can remove the rubbish following your kitchen makeover, please ask our surveyor at the time of your quotation. We can, at an additional charge, arrange for a skip to remove your old kitchen carcasses, doors, worktops, etc… The cost for this service will of course depend on the size of the skip required.
Unfortunately we can’t provide a guaranteed match-up service unless we have previously supplied your existing kitchen. If we have then that’s great, please contact us with the style, colour and measurements of your door or doors and we can discuss prices and place an order for you.
If we haven’t supplied your existing kitchen but you have seen a style and colour that you feel would be suitable, either through our website or by visiting our showrooms, then please feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do to help. Please be advised however, colours and their shades can vary e.g. Oak can look very different depending on the manufacturer’s specifications, as can Maple, Birch or Walnut therefore our “Oak” may not match with your existing kitchen’s “Oak”.
Unfortunately we do not provide this service and we cannot re-cover or re-paint any damaged, peeling kitchen doors. It may be possible for us to match up to your existing kitchen door style and replace your old door with a new one, however this is something we cannot guarantee either. Colours and styles change over time and therefore can be difficult to match-up due to a number of factors, not least of all the kitchen’s age and original supplier.

What’s covered in the Gordon’s Makeovers 5 YEAR Guarantee?*
